Breakfast: three eggs, scrambled and cooked in the microwave with some chunks of corned beef stacked on them and with a can of Pepsi One to drink.
Lunch: at the Boot Hill Casino, where we ate at the snack bar. I had the Blue Plate Special for $5. This was a fair price and may have been a bit high given the quality of the food. It consisted of:
- fried chicken stripes (too damn crispy and too well cooked)
- mashed potatoes (that must have taken a 5 horse power mixer to make as they were rather dry)
- white gravy (that was actually not bad)
- a bisquit (a bit too well done)
- honey for the bisquit (hard to screw up a little packet of honey)
- and a glass of water...
The person taking the orders was also the fry cook. She was a bit harried and very cranky, with somewhat poor customer relations skills. (I hope that I would be better were I trapped in this job.) Actually, the case can be made that the order taker/cook was rude.
Snack: at the movie theater, split a large popcorn while watching a superb movie (X Men: Days of Future Past) with Kathie. We both had bottles of water to drink and I found these as good as, if not better, than the "large Diet Pepsi, no ice, please" that we normally get...
Dinner: Healthy Choice and glass of cold water...
