9 March 2012

Breakfast: cherios and coffee
Lunch: from McDonalds,
  • a 10 piece chicken nuggetts
  • fries
  • medium "Diet Coke"

Dinner: from Applebys,

  • a "Brutus" of Bud and a regular Bud
  • fahitas with chicken, rice, white cheese, chopped tomatoes
It used to be traditional for the server to ask if the patrons wanted desert. This would usually lead to patrons deciding they might "feel full" but still had enough room to split some nice decadent desert. (Reminds me of the mint scene in that Monte Pyton movie.) But, lately, they have just been bringing the bill, alrady talled up, to the patron's table. It is a hassle for the servers to take a desert order, bring out the desert and add this cost to the bill. So, we dont' bother asking...
It is highly annoying and when it happens, leads me to classify the waiter/waitress as sub-par.  "Our" waiter was adequate and lost out on a "good" rating by his not asking if we wanted desert...
