Breakfast: It turned out bigger than I thought:
          *  2 scrambled eggs,
          *  fried Maher potatoes
          *  2 slice of toast, 2 of which had grape jelly
          *  coffee

    Snack: small handful of dark chocolate chips

    Lunch: at the Dodge City Community College for:
         *  ribs
         *  large baked potatoes with
            + Butter
            + Sour Creamme
            + Small amount of large curd cottage cheese
         *  chocolate cake with vanilla ice creamme
         *  glass of "Diet Pepsi"

   Dinner: Kathie bought a half meat pizza half garbage pizza.
         *  I had a quarter of this pizza 
         *  with a glass of a local lager.  
 
   Desert: Two gin-n-tonic  
           made with the gin distilled by the local distilleries’ gin.

_____Breakfast:  at the Four Points Hotel in Manhattan Kansas for:
               * Great biscuit with adequate SOS
               * Donut
                            * Small glass of orange juice
                            * Coffee

_______Lunch: We went to Pope Yes -er- *Pop Eyes just off I-70 near Selina Kansas. I ordered:
                         * 3 piece mild chicken
                         * Cajun rice
                         *  roll with honey
                         *  medium "Diet Coke"

We  got boneless, skinned, chicken. I bitched and they offered to replace our order but with "bone in" chicken this time.

I told them I just wanted a chicken leg.

They said they did not have any mild bone-in chicken legs.

I called this bluff by saying I'd take a spicy chicken leg.

The manager hesitated and admitted they were out of legs and offered me a mild thigh or leg. I took the thigh. The seasoning was "mild" and the chicken too juicy...


_______Dinner: * Some left over Cajun Rice
                            * Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers
                               Chicken Margherita with Balsamic

Pre-Bed Snack:

* Something I noticed about "old" Popeyes and the Popeyes we went to today.

In the mid 1980s, we went to Popeyes near DC. There, the serving people were black and very slow but they never screwed up the order.  Today, we went to a Popeyes with white serving people, fairly fast service, who screwed up the orders.

                        * I don't  eat green beans!

                            chocolate at the bottom,

Breakfast: Some sausage based SOS with a slice of sour dough bread.
               *  Then, three small pancakes.
   
  Drinks:
  • I had hot chocolate made with a base of dark chocolate chips mixed with and boiled in a thin layer of milk.
  • Tnen, I had cup of coffee.
    Lunch: a double quarter Pound burger and fries at Burger King.
               We went to the Manhattan Kansas Four Points By Marriott for the                         Kansas Lions Annual Mid Winter Rally. 

   Snack: two local lagers

  Dinner: at the hotel's special meeting room for:
             * Salad
             * Chicken breasts
             * Baked potatoes with butter and sour creamme
             * Baked carrots
             * Roll with butter
             * small piece of cake with raspberry drizzle
             * cold water
             * decaf coffee

 Snack: several items from the Lions Hospitality Room

Breakfast-1: McDonalds and ordered 2 breakfast britos and later
                   found  I had gotten just one. So I ate that one and Kathie's
                   potatoe slab and coffee.

Breakfast-2: I went home and had a chunk of "French" bread with butter
                    that I toasted in the oven. I dunked this into of chocolate made 
                    in the Kernog. I Made 12 oz of hot chocolate and it was weak
                    I will make an 8 oz cup next time and maybe mix some hot                                    chocolate with milkj and micro-nuke it before adding it to the
                    Kernog hot chocolate.

       Lunch:  A 6" roast beef and lettuce sandwich and chips from subway
                    sub and a bottle of Diet Pepsi. 

      Snack: a couple of small teaspoons of chocolate!ate fudge. 

    Dinner: Homemade pizza ad a glass of a local beer.

________Lunch:  at the LaGalettae in Wichita (a great French place)
               * ham and cheese quish
               * salad
               * a wonderful creamme filled pastry


_______Dinner:  at Outback Steak Restaurant
               * salad
               * rolls
               * 8 oz filey mingon
               * baked potatoe with butter and sour creame
               * cold water

An interesting event happened at lunch!

Kathie took me to the "La Galette French Bakery and Restaurant". I had an excellent meal.

 After finishing the meal, I decided to get an extra pastry to go. I went to the front and said "I'd like one of those (pointing at the pastry) to go."

"You want it to go?"

"Yes."

"How was the food?" This was from the manager.

"Perfect! Everything was great!  I lived in France for three years. I went to an Air Force Junior High. Every so often, my Mother would send me to <French word for pastry shop> and I would get that."

I pointed at the pastry. I noticed an old gentleman was paying close attention to what I said and had smiled at my complements. He put a very large strawberry , which was dipped in chocolate, on a plate for me. His manger handed it to me.

I was puzzled. The manager said "he wants you to have it". I beamed and thanked him. The old gentleman - obviously the chef - smiled back.

I took the strawberry back to the table and told Kathie how I had got it.

Kathie said "you bite the end off and I'll bite off the tip with all the chocoate".

I bite off the end, Kathie enjoyed the end and we each finished it off with two bites.

I am happy that I made this French Chef happy. This was a once in a lifetime event!

Anyway, I should be going back to see Dr. Mallick in June; we plan on ging to this restaurant then.

About the time I finished the soup, I knew I would not keep it down. I was right. I started feeling nauseated shortly after going to bed. I held off going to the toilet to vomit for almost fours hours. What came out was a dark red and made me wonder if I have a bleeding ulcer.
I went back to bed and tossed and turned for a while. I decided to go sit on the toilet but had to find a book. I could not find one where I thought I had left it in a drawer. 
Kathie asked me what I was doing. I explained I was looking for a book. She told me to turn on a light. I did and found the book I was looking for, "Lacey and His Friends", in a carry all. I sat on the toilet for a short while reading " Nation Without Walls" by David Drake.
Before I sat on the toilet to read, I felt the strong urge to vomit a second time. I refused to do so and the urge went away.
I read for a while before going back to bed. I got to sleep immediately and had trouble waking when Kathie told me it was 8 am.

New Years Day 2018


Breakfast: leftover SOS and a slice of sour dough bread and coffee

    Snack: some chocolate

    Lunch: * left over baked chicken leg and thigh
           * left over rice pilaf
           * cold water

   Dinner: We went to "Prime On The Nine" and I had:
           * salad
           * Cordon Blue
           * mashed potatoes
           * split a desert with Kathie. Said desert had:
             * vanilla ice creamme
             * fudge drizzle
             * chewier brownie (too chewier)
           * glass of ice water

    Snack: popcorn and a gin-n-tonic

Last night, I apparently vomited in my sleep as I woke up chocking and gagging. I brought up liquid which I swallowed. Then, I kept coughing up chunks of solid phlegm for upward of a half hour.

I think I drank too much "champagne" "sparkling wine" too close to going to bed...
