Breakfast: a kind of scrambled eggs, whose recipe I got from the Daily Globe. This was taken from a column written by an Amish woman (called the Amish Cook). As I recall, the recipe was
<blockquote>
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 heaping tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • "pepper to taste"
Mix the ingredients in a large bowl, then pour into a well greased skillet. Put a tight lid on the skillet and put over "medium heat. When half done, take the lid off", quarter the cooking eggs mixture, turn them over and finish cooking.

The cook did not say
  • if this was supposed to be baked or cooked on the stove,
  • didn't say how long it would  take to cook or
  • how to tell when the meal was done.
I gave it about 8 minutes per side and checked how done it looked.

I'm thinking this somewhat bland meal could be spiced up with
  • sauteed onion and
  • sauteed garlic and
  • chunks of ham and
  • maybe light cream vice milk?

Lunch: we had brots boiled in beer with green peppers and onions and iced water

Dinner: I had a "Healthy Choice" beef pot roast dinner with iced water
