Breakfast:  in the large cast iron fry pan:
  • hash brown potatoes
  • well cooked bacon
  • two eggs boiled fried in the bacon fat
  • coffee
  • cold water
Lunch: Dairy Queen for:
  • six pieces of chicken
  • french fries
  • a very small container of gravy
  • medium "Diet Pepsi"
  • banana split with:
    • all vanilla ice creamme
    • fudge dressing
    • extra whipped creamme
Anthony Bourdain wrote that restaurant managers must have "nervous feet" and walk around talking with the customers. One of the clerks screwed up on my wife's order and that of another customer. The manager walked around apologizing and explaining. This made Kathie feel better and we are much more likely to return that we would have without speaking with the manager.Without speaking with the manager, I would have been bad mouthing them vice praising them!


Dinner:  highly seasoned roast beef, Kathie's rice pilaf, asparagus and cold water.

Desert: a gin-n-tonic
