Write a good story. Create a character you’d want to spend some time with, and join him as he deals with situations that spiral out of control as a result of his actions and choices. For me, that’s the recipe for a book that immerses me in the story, and makes it hard to put down.
Quotes from Orlado A. Sanchez novel "The Birth of Death"
The blade is silent.
The blade is swift.
The blade is always ready.
The blade heals.
The blade kills.
The blade is life and the blade is death.
— Huracan Karib
He didn’t know that everything about him practically screamed ‘operator’ to anyone who knew what to look for. The quick glances, nervous movements, and stiff body language all gave him away. Seasoned operators perfected the art of looking bored and uninterested, right up to the moment they slid a blade between your ribs and into your heart, or fired a round into your forehead.
Blessed be to Santa Muerte, Our Lady of Death,
Who is the great protector of the living,
And guardian of the dead.
My lovely Skeletal Girl,
please watch over me and my family
Keeping us safe from illness and injury,
And from the curses and maledictions of others.
Please bless us with your wisdom and understanding,
And bring us friendship, good fortune, and love.
I ask this of you now and always, my most beautiful Santa Muerte,
For you are always present and ever-powerful
And I have learned to love and trust you.
