Breakfast: Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls Sausage (Eggs, Potatoes, Sausage & Cheddar Cheese) and coffee

Snack: a small piece of the pork chop I baked for lunch (but will have tomorrow) and a small amount of the rice...

Lunch: One and a half Ruben, some potatoe salad and water

Dinner: boneless chicken I fried in my cast iron fry pan and some homemade bread (made from a can of bread dough) and a bottle of beer (I seem to be losing my taste for beer). As desert and after Kathie got back from a birthday party, a gin-n-tonic.

Breakfast: oatmeal and donuts and coffee

Lunch: Progresso Traditional Chicken & Wild Rice with a bag of Cheeze-Its added and a Pepsi One.

Dinner: a bowl of Campbell tomatoe soup with chunks of sausage, a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich and a small amount of orange sherbet

My post dinner blood sugar was too damn high, especially considering how little I had for dinner and the low levels of carbs...

Breakfast: piece of sausage, milk toast and coffee

Snack: a small bowl of orange sherbet and chocolate topping (I felt completely drained after working out...)

Lunch: at Pizza Hut, salad, two slices of meat pizza, slice of desert pizza, some awful tasting chocolate pudding
I have to admit that while the selection wasn't too great, the service was fine.

Snack: a small bowl of orange sherbet and chocolate topping

Dinner: instant left overs made from a cheap steak, two chopped up and boiled potatoes, and broccoli
It was good but I felt the urge for something sweet after dinner and had to resist the urge to buy Oreos...

I broke down and bought some little cookies...

Lunch: We went with a nice Sunday lunch of:
  • baked whole chicken
  • stuffing
  • broccoli
  • small baked potatoe (which I had) and
  • iced water
Snack: a cup of coffee and a square of dark chocolate (This was a real big mistake; I had indigestion for hours afterward.)

Dinner: Lean Cuisine Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes (savory meatloaf with gravy and creamy red-skin mashed potatoes) and iced water with a couple of little Oreo cookies for desert (and the subsequent heart burn...)

Lunch: two brats boiled in cheap beer with chunked up green pepper, onion, garlic and the aforementioned brats (with a bottle of Diet Pepsi...)

Snack: some "homemade" bread (made from a can of "French Bread") and cold water

Dinner: a Healthy Choice Beef Pot Roast (Roasted Beef with Cabernet Gravy, Carrots, Red Potatoes & Apple Cranberry Multigrain Crisp) and iced water and for desert (a couple of hours after dinner): 6 little Oreos...I was very hungry. Unfortunately, about an hour after eating them, I felt ill...

Good news: I had an A1C test done at the Health Faire today and my A1C had dropped from 8.5 to 8.3. So, I'm happy...

Breakfast: at Dodge House,
  • scrambled eggs from a pan,
  • a slice of bacon,
  • several link sausage,
  • SOS (with sliced link sausage) on hash browns
  • a biscuit with grape jelly and
  • coffee and ice water
The parking lot of the first place we went to was crammed and we simply could not find a parking place. We went to the Dodge House...

Lunch: at Applebys,  where I had the fahetias with steak and chicken, grilled onions, chopped tomatoes, white cheddar cheese, finely sliced lettuce and two glasses of "Diet Pepsi".

Dinner:
a Healthy Choice "Classic Meat Loaf (Meat Loaf with Rich Brown Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Corn Blend & Apple Cranberry Multigrain Crisp) and iced water

Snack: bag of popcorn and 2 Reese's Cups...

Breakfast: grits with some pseudo-butter (but not enough) and two "thick" slices of baloney (sliced up) and coffee

Lunch: Went to Taco Bell and had a large (2x) steak Chalumpa {sic} and hard taco with a medium "Diet Coke" (just a little touch of Dr. Pooper Pepper in it...).  I have to admit, this was the best I've eaten at Taco Bell in well over a decade. It really was good! (Of course, "hunger is the best appetizer".)

Snack: didn't have one.  I sat down on the couch and started reading "Mission of Honor" by David Weber. My dog sat down next to my left leg and my older cat used my right leg as a pillow. I simply didn't want to disturb either one and didn't want to put the book down. Without giving a spoiler, I was reading the horrifying "Oyster Bay" (Manticore) section...

I did make the mistake of drinking a strong cup of coffee before going to work (about 2:30 pm while I was walking my dog) and then maybe ¼ to a ½ cup of coffee after I got to work. My stomach was upset for at least 3 hours after this. Tomorrow, no caffeine after noon!

Dinner: a fine mixture of left overs, fresh and canned
  • the rest of the baked and then boiled steak from yesterday
  • a can of sliced potatoes (which gave me a day's worth of salt!)
  • a bunch of over boiled broccoli florets
  • iced water

Snack: some sherbet with chocolate topping and a cup of coffee

Dinner: a hamburger patty, small baked potatoe and boiled carrots (and iced water)

Snack: a bag of popcorn and two Reese's'  cup

I was delighted that Mike Casey (owner of "Casey's Cowtown") has finally decided to serve spaghetti with meatballs and a red sauce; I have been bugging him for years on the subject and I think he came through well. I hope he has this available tomorrow and if so, I will order it.

Snack: Cheeze-It Baked Snack Crackers and iced water

Snack: some orange sherbet 

Dinner: We  went to the Boot Hill Casino Restaurant for Tuscan Tuesday:
  • salad
  • some great pork and beef lasagna
  • a strange white sauced substance
  • green dough made with spinage
I asked the waiter what "pasta bar" meant. It turned out the two guys at a table were running a pasta bar and not a desert bar. I went back. The cook sauteed garlic, chopped tomoatoes, chunks of chicken in olive oil and added the red sauce and spaghetti noodles. (All of this is what I asked for.)

_______Dinner: a can of Tomatoe soup and a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich

               Snack: I attended the "Dora Hand" play in Dodge City Kansas. After the play, I had a wine punch and a very small choclate chip brownie (the smallest I could find...)

I enjoyed the play, which was very well done. I would put a link to it if I could find one in the Dodge City Globe.

          Dinner #2: a baloney sandwich on crusty "Italian" bread

Breakfast: small piece of steak and some left over rice pilaf and coffee

Lunch: We went to a fairly new place, "Bella Italia Ristorante". This is our second visit. I had lasagna, two slices of white bread and 2 glasses of "Diet Coke". The lasagna was quite good, the bread needs improvement and the service fine.

They seriously need to decorate the place; they need some pictures and there are two electrical outlets that should be removed, with all traces of their existence destroyed (this "Ristorante" used to be a photo shop.)

Given the number of hamburger joints, "Mexican" restaurants, and quick food places, "Bella Italia Ristorante" is a sorely needed addition to the local restaurants selection.

All things considered, I hope they stay in business.

Snack: a piece of chocolate cake and some vanilla ice creamme. (Given how crappy I felt about 10 minutes after eating this, I kind of wish I had not...)

Breakfast: small piece of pork chop, peanut butter and grape jelly on sour dough bread and coffee

Lunch: Pizza Hut for
  • a salad
  • two slices of meat pizza
  • slice of apple desert pizza
  • small cup of choclate pudding
  • two glasses of "Diet Pepsi"
The service was quite good! I hereby repent all the obnoxious remarks I made in the past about Pizza Hut; they seem to have gotten the hang of customer service. (I just hope they can maintain it...)

Snack: small slice of low sugar apple pie when I got to work (it was sitting out on a table being a perfect target for flies and germs...)

Dinner: home made stew with
  • stewed (cheap) beef steak
  • stewed pork chops
  • potatoe
  • carrots
  • various seasonings...
and cold water with the stew.

  • a medley of veggies (I ate the broccoli florets and yellow squash) and we
  • split a piece of chocolate/caramel cake
I had a glass of Diet Pepsi after lunch

Dinner: pizza and a MGD
