Breakfast: spoon sized shredded wheat and coffee
Lunch: at Applebys for:
- a bowl of "French Onion Soup" (far inferior to what my Father made but not bad...)
- 9 oz rib eye steak
- baked potatoe with butter and sour creamme
- some partially boiled broccoli florets and "baby" carrots
- two glasses of "Diet Pepsi, no ice" (both actually came without ice!)
We didn't see any managers and as I said, the service was fine till we had to wait when we tried to pay.
We had planed on going some place special as it was my wife's birthday; Appleby is simply not that special!
We went to Mairah Hills but they were not open; their sign said nothing of being closed on Sundays. (He may be having financial problems.)
We then went to another place, Central Station but they were closed also. The last three times we went there I had an alergic reaction to their "dry seasoned steaks". Nothing says "great seasoning quite like said seasoning triggering an asthma attack!" I'm actually glad they were closed...
Snack: We each had a slice of Kathie's birthday cake.
Dinner: Hungry Man Selects Classic Fried Chicken, awful "mashed" potatoes, a decent little brownie and iced water
Post dinner delight: a chunk of dark chocolate...
