Breakfast: at the Hotel in McPherson where the Lions District "L" cabinet meeting was held and I had SOS on bisquit, a bit of scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee and water

Lunch: We went to Montana Mikes and I had:
  • salad with French Dressing
  • 8 oz filet
  • baked potatoe with cheese, and butter
  • two glasses of "Diet Pepsi"
Snack: a chunk of dark chocolate

Pre-dinner drink: a gin-n-tonic

Dinner: on one plate,
  • about a half plate of salad
  • about a quarter of a plate of boiled broccoli and carrots
  • a small amount of mashed potatoes
  • three small chunks of well cooked roast beef,
  • maybe a 1/2 cup of brown gravy,
  • desert and
  • iced water
This was the first time I've had this meal at this restruant and not vomited an hour or so after going to bed. I figure it was due to:
  • I didn't fill up with 2 beers before dinner
  • I didn't eat a large amount of roast beef and gravy and mashed potatoes
  • I didn't have cookies and water in the hospitality room
In other words, my stomach was well under full when I went to bed. I did get some gurgle up (I think) but pepto handled that very easily.

The amount of meat was enough to satisify my desire for the meat and I didn't get sick.
What more could I ask for?

Pre-breakfast snack:  a piece of chocolate zucchini bread with chocolate chips and coffee (very good)

Breakfast: Jimmy Dean® Breakfast Bowl (Bacon, Eggs, Potatoes and Cheddar Cheese) and another piece of that wonderful chocolate zucchini bread. A friend of mine at work told me his 13 year son had made it; I told him what a great job the lad did!

Lunch:  left over meat pizza from last night and a can of Pepsi Zero.

Snack: some little Oreos and coffee

Lunch: Healthy Choice meatloaf dinner and a can of Pepsi One.

Snack: chunk dark chocolate but no coffee

Dinner:  I could not face another Healthy Choice given the one I had for lunch was freezer burned and about 3 weeks past the pull date. I still ate it!  We went to a Pizza Place and I had a ¼ of a meat pizza and a MGD. Good beer

Dinner: two quarter pound hot dogs boiled in rice and cold refrigeratir water.

Breakfast: we went to the Knights of Columbus "Tough Enough To Wear" pink breakfast. This was a fund raiser for cancer victims. I had:
  • instant scrambled eggs (what  can I say?)
  • sausage
  • a sausage casserole; it was fine and I was able to pick out the fungus -er- mushrooms.
  • SOS (fairly good SOS at that!)
  • coffee
Lunch: two hamburgers and a bottle of Diet Pepsi

Snack: piece of dark chocolate and a half cup of coffee

Dinner: Healthy Choice Country Fried Chicken (chicken breast, mashed potatoes and white gravy, corn and an apple desert) and a chunk of dark chocolate and iced water

Breakfast: I used my big cast iron fry pan to
  • fry some mashed potatoes in olive oil (which left a real mess)
  • fried bacon
  • boiled or rather, fried two eggs
  • coffee
This was actually fairly good and I wiped out the fry pan and scrubbed it with salt. I'll have to remove the salt and rub the fry pan down with more extra virgin olive oil.  It will be interesting to make some pancakes in this seasoned fry pan and compare them with the non-cast iron fry pan...

Snack: chunk of dark chocolate and coffee

Lunch: at about 1:30 pm, I realized that I had better eat lunch. So, I went to Burger King for
  • double whopper, catsup and mustard only
  • large fries
  • medium "Diet Coke"
The crew was somewhat overwhelmed with customers and it was about 3 minutes to 2 pm before I got my lunch. I didn't enjoy it as I had to get back home to get ready to go to work and I had not been able to find the TV controller before leaving. I went home, checked the kitchen table, around the computer and around the couch and could not find the frigging TV controller.

Then, I realized that I was leaning forward and reaching under the couch. I looked and immediately saw the missing TV controller. I wish my subconscious mind would be more obvious in telling me where stuff is...

Dinner: Healthy Choice Chicken Parmigiana with broccoli and iced water

Snack: a big chunk of dark chocolate and iced water

Breakfast: I rinced out my large cast iron skillet and fried up
  • bacon
  • two badly fried eggs
  • had two slices of sour dough toast with grape jelly
  • and coffee
Snack: a chunk of dark chocolate

Lunch: left over Zatarans "dirty rice" and boiled broccoli, cold water and coffee

Snack; another chunk of dark chocolate and a cup of (poor) instant coffee

Dinner: Healthy Choice Country Fried Chicken dinner and iced water.

This was the first time in months that I did not wake up to pee. Also, it was the first time in weeks that our cat did not get up on the TV cabinet, decide she could not get down, and cry for help. This means my wife didn't wake me up and say "go  rescue our baby!"

Snack: a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich and coffee as I was feeling weak and my blood pressure was 118/62. I don't know what the BP had to do with the feeling weak but the one slice pg-n-gp sandwich made me feel a whole lot better!

I could not understand why my AM blood sugar was so high until I was going through my "fixing to go to work" kit and found that I had not taken my evening pills last night.  It was hectic...

Snack: small amount of left over spaghetti noodles and home made spaghetti sauce (from yesterday) and coffee

Lunch: two hot dogs, one  bun, cold water

Snack: small piece of dark chocolate and then homemade chocolate sauce on the remainder of the vanilla ice cream and yet more coffee!

Dinner:  Hungry Man Boneless Fried Chicken (tender white chicken patties with home-style mashed potatoes and sweet corn - includes a chocolate brownie) and glass of iced water.


U2 or 3 V0  (I lost track of the number of times I hit the head in the middle of the night; it was only after I got up this morning that I remembered I had forgotten to put out my pee control pills in my morning pills...)

Breakfast: cheerios and coffee

Snack: some dark chocolate

Lunch: #1  three eggs cooked in the microwave oven

Lunch: #2  A Burger King double hamburger, fries, medium chocolate shake and glass of water

The shake was too sweet and the whole meal made me feel stuffed and regretful.

Snack: some orange sherbet...

Dinner: We went to the Boot Hill Casino Restaurant and I had:
  • salad with a bowl of cottage cheese
  • broiled salmon
  • baked potatoe with butter, cheese and cottage cheese
The service was so bad that Kathie had the waitress bring the "supervisor" over to tell her how bad the service was!  First the "supervisor" said our waitress was "one of my best" and then, when I told her it took 14 minutes to get our water and Kathie's white wine, she said "sometimes I have to help her".  The supervisor should have helped more.  Kathie then said something I had not expected "I'll give her a 15% tip". For Kathie, this is a low tip; personally, I would have gone with 10%...

Desert:  Kathie's birthday cake and double vanilla ice creamme!

Dinner: chopped up boneless skinned chicken, boiled and mixed in with chicken Raman noodles and a bottle of beer

Lunch: Jimmy Dean® Breakfast Bowl Sausage & Gravy (Potatoes, Eggs, Country Gravy, Sausage & Cheddar Cheese), a couple of chunks of dark chocolate and a can of Pepsi One.

Snack:  piece of dark chocolate

Dinner:  We went to the Boothill Casino Restaurant and I had:
  • salad with a bowl of beef soup
  • most of a 12 oz steak
  • garlic mashed potatoes
  • part of a white brownie, ice creamme and whipped creamme desert

Breakfast: a 3 egg "omelet" with onion flakes. Well, it was 3 well beaten eggs mixed with onion flakes and microwaved in a microwave proof bowl. This and coffee made my breakfast.

Snack: a couple of small pieces of dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee

Lunch: a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich, bag of chips and can of Pepsi One.

Snack:  a couple of chunks of dark chocolate

Dinner: Healthy Choice chicken, noodles and white gravy with boiled broccoli and a glass of cold "refrigerator" water. Since we both remember my vomiting last night all too well, I did not have anything alcoholic to drink!



Sadly, I did not fare so well the night of 6 July into 7 July (last night).

After going to bed around 8:30 pm, I got up to pee around  and ended up vomiting. Then, after going back to bed, I got up to vomit some more. I coughed up a lot of phlegm. I also had another pee break about 1:30 am.  I suspect it was the grease in the bread stuffing some 7 hours before I went to bed and the filling up of my stomach from two gin-n-tonics. I will be "on the wagon" tonight!

  • baked chicken
  • bread stuffing (chicken fat soaked!)

Snack:  some dark chocolate

Dinner: Healthy Choice chicken and rice soup and a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich.

I also had two (2)  gin-n- tonics

Breakfast: Cheerios and coffee

Snack: small amount of left over stew and a can of Pepsi One.

Lunch: at Applebys for:

  • French Onion Soup
  • 12 oz sirloin steak
  • garlic mashed potatoes
  • veggies (carrots and broccoli)
  • two glasses of an unusual but good beer
Problems with the lunch:
  1. My French Onion Soup had excellent broth but French Onion Soup is supposed to feature a large chunk of toasted "French Bread" with the cheese melted on it. There was no "French Bread". The waiter took this back and did not charge me for the soup.
  2. The bottom slice of bread on Kathie's Ruben was soaked through. By the time she was ready to eat the 2nd half, the top slice of bread was also soaked through. The cook is supposed to drain the juice off the sauerkraut and the cook either didn't drain the juice or did a poor job of draining. We were told the cook was a trainee; this trainee should have been much better supervised!
Dinner: boiled spaghetti noodles with microwave warmed up tomatoe sauce and a bottle of LandShark. It was pseudo-spaghetti but I was hungry and it went down easy enough...

 Breakfast: left over steak and baked potatoe and coffee

Lunch: at Bella Italiana for
  • bread sticks,
  • spaghetti with meatballs (tasted very nice)
  • 2 glasses of "Diet Coke"
Our waitress asked us if we wanted desert. We said no and she went to get the bill. Normally, we get almost done with the main course and the waiter/waitress will put the bill on the table and say "I'll be your cashier". They are supposed to ask us if we want another drink or desert before bringing the bill. I guess they figure the profit from either item isn't enough compared to getting us out of the way and the table cleared for the next customers.

This leaves me with an irritated feeling and less desire to come back...

Snack: a piece of dark chocolate

Dinner: Healthy Choice meat loaf dinner and iced water and a chunk of dark chocolate

Breakfast: Jimmy Dean bacon, egg, potatoe and cheddar cheese breakfast bowl and coffee

Snack: a couple of pieces of dark chocolate

Lunch: I put chopped up Tillamook Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese in a plastic bowl and added dried onion flakes and three eggs. This I microwave until it appeared to be done and had this with a Pepsi One (probably bad for me but I've drank all the coffee I want today and expect to be drinking a lot of water at home).

Snack: some dark chocolate

Dinner: roast beef, boiled potatoes (from a can), home made gravy from the beef juice I boiled the roast in and a bottle of LandShark!

Snack; some peanuts and a gin-n-tonic

Good news: we were asked to do an 18Z release so I stayed to do this. I am going to take comp time vice overtime as comp time can be used for Lions. Speaking of leave, I requested a ½ hour off on the 12th.
