badI will never go back here AGAIN!
The restaurant is small and had one well intentioned waitress. We
ordered at the counter, paid and sat down. There was a family of 5 or 6 near us
waiting for their order to come out. they wasit qujite a while after we had sat
down before getting lunch. Then we continued waiting.
We were not going to leave
because we had already paid eighteen (18) dollars for lunch. (Kathie paid a $2 tip ahead of time.)
There were two old ladies near us who finished their meals and left. One great-grandmother came over, patted me on the arm several times and said
"you have waited too long. I think they lost your order."
She then gave the waitress a
piece of her mind.
The waitress came over and said
the cook was overworked and the food would come out shortly.
"Shortly" was about 10 more minutes.
I got my hamburger and so few French
fries that I could see the plate between the French fries (this would have
killed a tip although the delay would have done so.) The food was fine, the
service nearly non-existent.)
I think we got the "fucking outsider" service although the family of six, who I suspect were locals, also got the same crappy service. Maybe we were treated as locals?

I wanted some ice creamme. The
selection of 8 ice creamme were basically empty. I got a vanilla soft serve;
the soft serve machine had an ancient looking "CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM
BROKEN" sign. The waitress said "the chocolate serve machine just
broke".
I should have assumed the vanilla
soft serve machine was possibly defective as well. That night, I got sick and I
think I may have gotten food poisoning from the bowl of "vanilla soft
creamme".
Anyway, I did not barf that night, but I came close. I should have
waited until we got to Enid Oklahoma and gone to Braums for that ice creamme.
My main take away from this is to be far more leery of going to
local places. This place didn’t look all that wonderful from the outside. It
would have been better to go to one of the chain places located on one street.
(Of course, the amount of fat in the spaghetti I had for dinner may have contributed?)

The building is designed to look like a century old place with
distressed plaster over bricks (almost windows in the plaster) and visible ventilation
pipes. We thought this charming and quite attractive.
The waitress was quite at
tentative and the service very well done.
The food was excellent!
the chocolate cake was probably the best example of this type of desert I have
ever eaten.
It is quite easy to find things top criticize in a restaurant but much harder to find things to praise in excellent. The place in Medicine Lodge was entirely too easy to criticize and the place in Enid so good that it is hard to single out items to praise. Napoli in Enid Oklahoma is simply that good!
