When I got to work at 4:58 am, I looked into the office break room refrigerator and saw a left over (and well cooked) hamburger patty from yesterday. I didn't know how long it had been sitting out in the office library (during an office luncheon) and it had been sitting in the refer, in the open, overnight. There was no way I was going to eat it.At about quarter to 7 am and having finished dinner at 5:56 pm the night before, I was having second thoughts about eating the hamburger patty. Finally, about 7:22 am, I rinsed it off, patted it dry and nuked it. With catchup and mustard, it was delicious!
"Hunger is the best appetizer."

Dinner: Three Taco Hell Bell Tacos and some nachos with cheese and whatever. I had a no-caffeine Root Beer. Given the choice of caffeine or sugar, tonight, I was better off with sugar but not caffeine. Dinner: At Applebys: little bowl of onion soup, a nice steak with
baked potatoe (with sour creamme and butter) and water
Snack: bowl of tomoatoe soup with some oyster crackers and a medium apple.

Lunch: plain no-fat yogurt, strawberries, two little oranges
Snack:a bierrrock with a can of DP. Having not had DP in 9 days, I was amazed at how bad it tasted the first two sips. It was simply awful and I don't plan on having any more for the foreseeable future...

Lunch: a bowl of plain, no-fat, yogurt with strawberries and a small

bad but was made to the liking of the general public and was juicy

Snack: a little bag of 4 "Little Debbie" sugar coated donuts. It
wasn't all that good and oddly enough, didn't taste as good as they used
to...

and water with a banana for "desert"
Breakfast: last of the wheaties, slice of sour dough bread with peanut
butter and cup of coffee.
Lunch: Bowl of plain no-fat yogurt with strawberries, two little oranges

and this time I bought the $1.47 balony; it was awful and I'm thinking of
reserving it for "treats" for my dog...)
Dinner: baked chicken, some boiled white rice and boiled corn, with a
bananna for desert. Then, I didn't eat anything else and woke up around 2
am feeling hungry. I refused to give in. That was great! I ended up with
one of my best morning blood sugar scores (119) that I've had in years!

______You'll need a wire whisk or hand blender. That's important to inject air as it cooks. Remember too that sauces are delicate and burn fast. Keep whisking and keep the temperature on low. In the old days when stoves were not as adjustable, they made these in double boilers.
______I think white wine improves any white sauce, but that's optional. In sauces with cheese, you can increase the flavor by adding a dash of wine vinegar.
